Dev Days Ahmedabad Brings Developers Together to Explore AI-Powered Software Development

Ahmedabad’s developer community came together on September 12 for Dev Days Ahmedabad, a community-led technology event focused on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in software development.

Held at Rysun Labs, Atal-Kalam Building, Ahmedabad, the event was organized in association with the M365 Ahmedabad User Group and co-sponsored by Plain Sight. The gathering brought together developers, technology enthusiasts and members of the local developer ecosystem for a day of learning, hands-on exploration and community interaction.

A central theme of the event was AI-assisted software development, with a particular focus on GitHub Copilot and its practical applications across modern development workflows. Rather than focusing solely on the broader possibilities of generative AI, the sessions explored how developers can use AI-powered tools in day-to-day software development and problem-solving.

Participants gained insights into practical workflows and real-world use cases involving GitHub Copilot, including its use through the Copilot app and CLI. The hands-on focus gave attendees an opportunity to explore how AI assistance can complement existing development practices and support developers across different stages of the software development lifecycle.

The event also served as a platform for developers at different stages of their AI adoption journey. Those already working with GitHub Copilot were able to explore additional capabilities and workflows, while participants new to AI-assisted development gained an introduction to the ways these tools can be incorporated into their development processes.
